Vadappi’s are prepared in south India mostly Karnataka and Andhra they are poori sized and they will be deep fried in oil, they can be even pressed to the poori press also
Rice flour-1 cup
Jowar flour-1 cup
Bengal gram flour-1 table spoon
Sesame seeds-1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds-1 table spoon
Oil –for deep frying
Red chiilli powder-2 table spoon
Method: Mix all the flour and sesame,cumin seeds, chilli powder, salt and mix well using water suitable to press with hand or a poori press.
Always be sure that you must mix the dough just before you prepare thevadappi’s.
Now take a plastic coated paper or plastic sheet and apply little oil over it take small lemon sized ball out of the dough and then press it into round shape and make a small hole in the middle and deep fry in hot oil and serve hot with coconut chutny.
Same vadappi can be prepared using only jower flour to make jowar flour vadappi with all the other same ingredients.
