The Moon will be closest to Earth in almost 20 years. Some fear that earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other disasters will follow

On March 19th, the moon will travel as close to earth as it’s been in nearly 20 years, The astrologers are alarmed , but not the scientific community
Watch  the night sky on March 19, also called as the evening of the extreme Super Moon, when the lunar sphere comes as close as it ever has, or will, to Earth. The astronomical event will be followed by catastrophic storms, earthquakes and other natural disasters the astrologers say.
The discussion on this goes this way
A “Super Moon”- What is it?

The unusually large full moon that earthlings see when the moon travels almost as close as it can to Earth. An “extreme Super Moon” occurs when the moon reaches its absolute closest point. On March 19, the moon will be only 221,556 miles away — the first extreme Super Moon in nearly 20 years.

What is the concern for humans in this?

The astrologers (not astronomers) say this Phenomenon which occurs once in 20 years is the beginning of a period coinciding with enormous storms, earthquakes and floods. They even  predict that the financial markets could collapse as prices surge into “panic mode.”

did it happen earlier?

According to astrologers, there is history.

The New England hurricane of 1938 happened around a super moon
The Australian Hunter Valley floods of 1955 happened during Super Moons,
The last Super Moon came in 2005, at around the same time as Hurricane Katrina and the Indonesian tsunami.

What does the science say?

there is difference of opinion on this.
A all of them say that next week is that the Earth will experience a “lower than usual low tide and a higher than usual high tide.”
Some say A Super Moon, he concludes, is “nothing to get excited about.”  If you try hard enough you can chronologically associate almost any natural disaster or event to anything in the night sky.The Hunter river flooded in February 1955, “two whole months before and after bookending Super Moons.”
The other scientists say that this may affect the tectonic moments  and weather patterns. how serious is not clear.

What Should I do ?
Take precautions if possible. There is someone warning us. If you are not sure of this it is better to be safe than sorry. May be there is nothing happening. then there no loss. What if something happens and we get struck. The astrology and science will keep fighting eternally.

Scientists try to prove astrology wrong. in their quest they “may” throw the general public  out of caution and “may” feel sorry later. ( My apologies to the scientist community here. I am a believer of my safety first then science.
