Beaten green gram: 1 small cup
Coriander leaves: a little
Curry leaf: 2 sticks
Grated coconut: according to your taste
Mustard: for seasoning
Beaten Bengal gram: 1 small cup
Asafoetida: 1/2a pinch
Oil: a little
Green Chilli: 1
Salt: according to your taste
Lemon juice: 1 spoon
Method of Preparation:
Wash the cucumber well and cut off the bitter ends, and if you wish to remove the skin, peel and cut it into very small pieces and put it in a vessel. wash the beaten Green gram well and soak it in water for some time and filter the water and add the beaten green gram to the of kosambari.
put some oil in pan and keep it on stove. after teh oil boils, add mustard and when they bursts, add beaten Bengal gram, cut pieces of green chilli, half a pinch of asafoetida and turn altogether well and switch off the stove. then add the seasoned oil to the cucumber pieces and mix it well. after wards add grated coconuts, coriander leaf, curry leaf, lemon juice mixing well. now beaten green gram- cucumber kosambari is ready
