The typical Andhra Brahmin eating style has a specific way on to itself. Any meal will start with a variety of Pappu.  To Start your meal, Pappu & Rice with Neyyi (Ghee) With a little Avakaya Nanju. In fact there is a word in East Godavari Pappu Gadu ( Brahmin). and it is really enjoyable. There are Many varieties which Pappu is made of. Eah has a unique taste of its own. The Pappu can be Made with Mamidikaya(Mango) Pappu, Dosakaya Pappu, Nimmakaya Pappu, Magaya Pappu, Pappu with Various Leafy vegetables. You name it each has a different vegetarian taste. Pappu has lots of proteins, Which can give you enough to sustain with out non-vegetarian food.

If you want to change yourself from being a non-vegetarian to vegetarian, and traditional food like These help you a lot.

The typical sequence of eating in the andhra brahmin eating style  is generally not changed. This start with Pappu, followed by Pickle or Pachadi, then its rasam or Pulusu and finally with curd before the sweet.
