Aloo Poori is a good change in the menu. May not be good in terms of calories but excellent in taste. Simple to make and does not involve much of work. I say that this is not good in terms of calories, because it is a deep fried item and lot of carbs included in it. Ragi Dosa

Ragi Dosa is good for weight management. Also, it is very tasty. Ingredients: Ragi flour-2cups Black gram dhal-1/2 cup Salt to taste Soda powder-1/2 tea spoon Method of preparation : Soak black gram dhal for 1 hour. Grind to smooth batter Mix ragi flour with water to idli batter Mix salt ,soda powder. Pour ladle full of batter over the tawa and spread into thin dosa Roast in low flame and serve hot.              Variation : Add chopped onions and tomatoes , coriander leaves to the batter and pour dosa’s roast both the sides, serve hot.

Wheat flour dosa- Dosa for diabetics

Wheat flour dosa is good for diabetics. Made of Wheat flour which is recommended for diabetics. wheat flour adds less blood sugar compared to rice flour. Ingredients: Rice flour-1cup Green chilli paste-1 table spoon Wheat flour –1 cup Onions – 2cups Oil- 3 table spoon Coriander leaves- little Fresh coconut- little Salt to taste. Method: Mix wheat flour, rice flour using water to dosa batter consistency. Add the seasonings, chopped onions, coriander leaves, fresh coconut. Set Dosa – Filling Breakfast

Ingredients: Rice- 1 1/2 cup Blackgram dal-1/2 cup Boiled Rice-1 1/2cup Medium Rice Flakes – 1/2cup Maida-1/4 cup Rice Flour-1/4 cup Baking Soda -1/2 TSp Salt – To Taste Method: Soak the rice, boiled rice,black gram in a vessel. Soak the  rice flakes separately. After 6-8 hours grind all of them to smooth batter in wet grinder. Mix rice flour, Maida with water to paste and add this in the batter just before you remove the batter from the grinder. Allow the batter to ferment for whole night. Curds Dosa – Tasty Tiffin

INGREDIENTS: Rice-1cup Rice flakes-1/2cup Salt to taste Soda powder-1/2 tea spoon Curds-1 cup Method: Sock rice and rice flakes for 5-6 hours Drain all the water and grind along with the curds,(only curds must be used for grinding) in to smooth batter. RAWA DOSA is simple to make and also very tasty. Ingredients: Rice flour- 1 cup Chiroti rawa-1/2 cup Maida-2 table spoon Green chilies-6 Salt to taste oil-2 table spoon Cumin seeds- 1 table spoon Method of preparation: Mix rawa and both the flour’s using water to dosa consistency.
