Bombay rawa-2 cups
Fresh coconut-1/2 coconut
Soda powder-1/2 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Oil –3 table spoon
Method: Prepare thick butter milk out of the curds and keep aside.
In a pan take oil add mustard seeds when they splutter add Bengal gram dhal and black gram dhal add rawa,roast till warm add green chili paste carrot, coconut,coriander leaves and mix well with butter milk to the idly batter consistency or and pour to the idly stand and steam idly’s for 15-20 minutes serve hot with coconut chutney or vegetable gojju or sambar.
Be sure that you must mix butter milk just before you want to prepare the idli’s.
Variation: you can use chopped onions for the idlis justmix raw onions to the batter before you pour idlis.
